Skagerak Energi, a major producer of renewable energy in Norway, and Jedlix, the European leader in Vehicle Grid Integration solutions, partner to offer Norwegian electric vehicle drivers and enterprise customers smart charging services for Electric Vehicles and secure their sustainable insertion into the Norwegian grid.

With a market share of above 50 % in new vehicle sales, Norway is the n°1 market in Europe in terms of EV adoption.  This urges the need for a driver centric solution that brings together the e-mobility and energy industries. 

Thanks to the partnership EV drivers in Norway have the opportunity to lower their charging costs at home and support the integration of electric vehicles on the grid. The smart charging app of Jedlix is available in the app stores (for iOS and Android) and compatible with a wide range of electric vehicles and works independently from the energy supplier. In a later stage, other branding opportunities are applied for the smart charging service to enable platform partners.  

The partners also plan to support business customers to address the needs of business partners that have electrified their company fleet.  

Parties believe that the mass adoption of EVs presents a huge opportunity to deliver grid balancing services in return for a remuneration that will create the basis of  future value propositions and energy services for the benefit of EV and fleet owners. With the engagement of the EV drivers, Skagerak Energi and Jedlix will complete the value chain to make this happen and contribute actively to the Nordic Balancing Model of tomorrow for a netZero50 economy.
